Description of key information

Based on the following rationale a long- term toxicity study in fish is not necessary.

In accordance with Section 3 (3.2) of  REACH Annex XI, the registrant considers it justified to omit the long- term toxicity testing on fish based on the exposure scenarios developed in the Chemical Safety Report which indicate that there is no significant exposure in all scenarios and that the comparison of the PEC to PNEC is sufficiently favourable. Furthermore, due to rapid biodegradation and the lack of significant bioavailability and the inability to traverse biological membranes it is unlikely that significant long- term exposure to pelagic organisms would occur.
