Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The registrant considers it justified to omit the bioaccumulation study for this endpoint based on a lack of environmental exposure. However, in order to allow the CHESAR software to function correctly an indicative value of Log BCF = 3.031 has been used in the Chemical Safety Assessment. Given the limitations of the predictive software the registrant considers that this result must be regarded with some caution.

MMT[EHTG] is not anticipated to accumulate in organisms.

Additional information

There are no experimental results on bioaccumulation of MMT[EHTG] available. The Log BCF of MMT[EHTG] has been estimated by the BCFBAF v3.01 sub-model resident within EPIWEB v4.1 as 3.031.

Similarly, employing the Base-line BCF model (Dimitrov et al., 2005) the estimated log BCFmax and log BCFcorr values were determined for MMT[EHTG] and equalled 1.61 and 0.97 respectively.  The BCFcorr value derived using the Base-line BCF model is indicative of a low potential for bioaccumulation of the molecule.

Taken together, the BCFBAF and Base-line BCF models are indicative of a low potential for bioaccumulation of MMT[EHTG].

Terrestrial exposures are not anticipated. MMT[EHTG] has a low potential for bioaccumulation.

MMT[EHTG] does not accumulate in organisms.

Predictions made using the above-mentioned models rely on the Log Kow as predicted by EPISUITE, which is considered to be higher than the experimetally determined value and thus indicative of a worst case scenario.
