Additional information

Based on all available experimental data the members of the polyol esters group are considered to be readily biodegradable according to the OECD criteria in a confirmatory GLP-Guideline study. Several studies confirming ready biodegradability are available for the polyol PE esters group. The group members are thus expected to be rapidly degraded by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environments as well, and therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2. - 9.2.1.4., further simulation tests for water and sediment or soil biodegradation are not necessary.
