Description of key information

One reliable (Klimisch 1) toxicity study for microorganisms was available for Alchisor CAL 123. The toxicity of Alchisor CAL 123 to activated sludge was reported by Schaefer & Twilly (2010) in an OECD 209 guideline and GLP compliant study. Activated sludge was exposed nominal concentrations of toxicant for 3 hours, resulting in a 3-hr LC50 of >1,000 mg/L, based respiration.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
1 000 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of Alchisor CAL 123, characterized as Alkenes, C11-12, hydroformylation products, distillation residues, to microorganisms has been evaluated for this dossier. This reliable study result is designated as Key for the toxicity to microorganisms endpoint.
