Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Vapour pressure (substance): 67 Pa at 20°C
Vapour pressure (silanol hydrolysis product): 0.00007 Pa at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A vapour pressure of 67 Pa at 20°C was extrapolated from a temperature-vapour pressure correlation using data measured over the range 84 - 162°C in a reliable study according to an appropriate test protocol but not under GLP. This is selected as key study. It is support by a predicted vapour pressure of 24 Pa at 20°C determined using an appropriate predictive method. The same method predicts that the silanol hydrolysis product will have negligible vapour pressure.
