Description of key information

The water solubility of the substance was determined in a GLP study according to test methods EC A.6 and OECD 105 to be >500 g/L at 20 °C, following a preliminary test with visual observations (Baltussen, 2003).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
500 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The test substance is concluded to be miscible with water in at least a 1:1 (w:v) ratio (i.e. water solubility of the test substance is > 1000 g substance/L water). As the water solubility is defined as units of mass per volume of solution, the water solubility is > 500 g/L, at 20 °C. A pH of 12.5 was measured at this concentration.
