FAT 41024/B was tested for its acute toxicity to Daphnia magna in a 48 hours static test.

The test solutions were prepared according to the "OECD Guidance document on aquatic toxicity testing of difficult substances" (Draft June 1998) and the "Guidance on the aquatic toxicity testing of difficult substances" (Department of the Environment, London, United Kingdom, May 1996) to ensure that the Daphnia were exposed to the maximum achievable dissolved concentration of the test substance in the test medium (= saturation concentration). During the test no immobilisation of the daphnia was observed in the

test solutions up to the highest test concentration. Therefore, the EC0 value after 48 hours was determined to be the saturation

concentration of the test substance in the test medium (corresponding to 100 mg/1 nominal, < 1.5 mg/1 actual concentration).
