Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.

Additional information

Biodegradation studies with bulk (RCC Notox 1993) and nano form (RCC Ltd. 2008) were conducted. Both forms show no biodegradation after 28 d in a guideline study according to OECD 301B.Therefore, bulk and nano form are both not readily biodegradable according OECD criteria.

Furthermore, a QSAR calulation has been conducted (Sun chemical 2022) supporting the findings of the OECD guideline studies and showing that all relevant metabolites are not readily as well. Futhermore, alls metabolites are regarded a not bioaccumulative according PBT criteria. It is assumed that the results of further simulation studies would not reveal any different findings. Therefore, further simulation studies in water/sediment and soil are not provided.
