Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for type of information:
From the structural formulae of its constituents, GR-50-1408 is not expected to react significantly with water at 20°C and will in no way emit flammable gases. This is in line with the fact that during studies such as the determination of the water solubility of GR-50-1408 no reaction of GR-50-1408 with water was observed.
Therefore it can be concluded beyond reasonable doubt that the contact of the substance with water of damp air will not lead to the development of dangerous amounts of gas or gases which may be highly flammable.
Specific details on test material used for the study:
GR-50-1408 is the Givaudan identification code which was employed for ROSYFOLIA during the early, developmental and testing period.
Conclusions:
From the structural formulae of its constituents, GR-50-1408 is not expected to react significantly with water at 20°C and will in no way emit flammable gases. This is in line with the fact that during studies such as the determination of the water solubility of GR-50-1408 no reaction of GR-50-1408 with water was observed.
Therefore it can be concluded beyond reasonable doubt that the contact of the substance with water of damp air will not lead to the development of dangerous amounts of gas or gases which may be highly flammable.
