Description of key information

In an OECD guideline 203 study in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) that followed accepted GLP standards, the test material failed to produce mortality or other sub-lethal effects at the highest practically attainable concentration.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test material to the freshwater fish rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) has been investigated and was given a 96-hour LC50 of > 0.50 mg/l based on nominal test concentrations. The corresponding NOEC was greater than or equal to 0.50 mg/l. Based on the time-weighted mean measured concentration of filtered test samples the 96-hour LC50 was calculated to be greater than 0.024 mg/l. Correspondingly, the NOEC was greater than or equal to 0.024 mg/l.
