Description of key information

Al(H2PO2)3 should be regarded as a non surface-active material as the measured surface tension at 1 g/L is higher than 50 mN/m.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
71.1
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

From the experimental data obtained according to the guideline A.5 in Official Journal L 383 Part A, it can be concluded that the surface tension of the aqueous solutions at concentration of 1000, 500 and 100 mg/L at 20 °C are 71.1, 72.6 and 73.1 mN/m respectively. The value mesured at 1 g/L is considered as the reference. According to the interpretation of the results suggested in the A.5 official method, the sample Pholite IP-A should be regarded as a non surface-active material as the measured surface tension at 1 g/L is higher than 50 mN/m.
