Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

No.  weight [mg]  Temperature range [°C]  Type of effect  Energy [J/g]
 1  24.8  215 to 250  Endothermic
     255 to 428  Exothermic  -280
 2  21.4  215 to 250  Endothermic
     254 to 430  Exothermic  -260
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Macrolex Orange R has no explosive properties in the sense of REACH Annex VII, 7.11.
Executive summary:

A screening DTA (based on DIN 51007) was made in order to rule out explosive properties of the test substance. A sample of the Macrolex Orange R in a melted glass container was heated up in a DTA oven with a linear rate of 3 K/min up to 500 °C. A sample of aluminiumoxide was heated in the same oven as comparison. The temperature difference of both sample were recorded

electronically. From these differences the heat flow of transformation of the test item was calculated electronically. The test was made twice.

Based on the results Macrolex Orange R has no explosive properties in the sense of REACH Annex VII, 7.11.
