Additional information

A collection of the boiling point values was performed for tartaric acid and its salts (i.e. monosodium, monopotassium, sodium potassium, sodium, potassium and calcium tartrate). All found values are listed below.

EC name

Range of boiling point (°C)

tartaric acid

179 - 399

potassium hydrogen tartrate

from 400 to 600

potassium sodium tartrate

130 - 200

 calcium tartrate

 sodium hydrogen tartrate

 disodium tartrate

 dipotassium tartrate

Overall, tartaric acid and its salts have boiling points higher than 100°C.
