Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 96h-LL50 to Danio rerio (zebrafish) is >100 mg/L in a semi-static (24 h renewal) OECD 203 test under GLP (Reliablity 1) based on active ingredient concentration. The test substance is poorly soluble in water and fish were therefore exposed to water accommodated fractions of the test substance. No mortality was observed up to the highest test substance loading of 100 mg/L. This loading concentration corresponds with a geometric mean concentration of 275 ug/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of the C36 -alkylenediamines (CAS no 68955 -56 -6) to fresh water fish has been assessed in a semi-static (24 h renewal) test according to TG OECD 203. The test substance is poorly soluble in water and Danio rerio were therefore exposed to water accommodated fractions (WAF). WAF's were prepared with 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 mg test substance/L as loading concentrations. The dissolved concentrations were analytically checked and the following corresponding geometrical mean concentrations were observed: 4.24, 10.6, 15.8, 19.2 and 275 µg/L. No mortalities were observed at any of the test concentrations. Only minor subleathal effects slowed escape reflex and changed swimming motions were observed at the highest test concentration. The following Key values for chemical safety assessment can be derived from these data: LL0 of >=100 mg/L or LC0 of >= 275 ug/L based on active ingredient content.
