Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No ready biodegradability test results are available for Amines C36-alkylenedi- . Ready biodegradability test are developed for water soluble, non toxic substances. Amines C36-alkylenedi- is a water-insoluble toxic substance. With acclimatized sludge biodegradation percentages of >60 were found twice. The results were not reproducible which is also attributed to toxicity and poor-water solubility of amines C36-alkylenedi- . The tests showing >60% biodegradation do prove that amines C36-alkylenedi- is inherently and ultimately biodegradable. A CAS test simulating the behavior amines C36-alkylenedi- in biological treatment plants did unambiguously prove with 74.4% removal via biodegradation that amines C36-alkylenedi- is biodegradable.
