The DSC-measurement in a closed glass crucible showed an exothermal decomposition in the temperature range of 230 - 365 °C with an energy of 986 J/g. Two DSC-runs in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed a broad endothermic effect in the temperature range of -115 to -75 °C (-140 to -50 °C) wit an onset temperature of -109 °C. The test item melts below - 50 °C.

Conclusions:
The melting temperature of Acrolein cyanhydrin acetate (ACA) was determined to be below - 50 °C.
