Description of key information

The flash point of the pure substance is < 21 °C at 1013 hPa.

The flash point of the aqueous solution is < 1 °C at 1013 hPa.

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008, Annex A.9, usíng a Gallenkamp Autoflash Automatic Pensky Martens Closed Cup Flash Point Equipment, operated according to the manufacturers recommended procedures to meet the requirements of ASTM-D93. The ICI study no. HT46/87 determined the flash point of the aqueous solution to be <1 °C at 1013 hPa. The GESTIS - Substance database reported the flash point of the pure substance to be < 21 °C at 1013 hPa.

Whether the pure substance or the aqueous solution both were classified as highly flammable liquids category 2.
