First-aid measures
Eye contact: Immediately gently flush eyes with large quantity of water for at least 15 minutes. If the victim is wearing contact lenses, remove them if it easy to do. Hold the eyelids apart during the flushing to ensure rinsing of the entire surface of the eyes and lids. DO NOT let victim rub eye(s). Do not neutralize with chemical agents. Obtain medical attention as soon as possible Oils and ointments should not be used at this time. Continue the flushing for an additional 15 minutes if a physician is not immediately available.
Inhalation: Remove vitim to fresh air while protecting you with appropriate respirator. Remove all any contaminated clothing to prevent further inhalation exposure. If not breathing, clear victim's airway and start artificial respiration. If victim is breathing, supplemental oxygen may be given from a demand-type or continuous-flow inhaler, preferabely with a physician's advice. Keep person warm and at rest. Get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion: Immediately give several glasses of water. DO NOT induce vomitting. If vomitting occurs, keep head below hips to reduce the risk of aspiration. Give fluids again. Never give anything by mouth to a person who is unconscious or convulsing. Call physician immeidately.
The most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed.
Chemical burn. Causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable fire extinguishing media: Water, vermiculite, dry sand; Use an extinguishing agent suitable for surrounding fires.
Special hazards arising from the chemical
On contact with air and moisture, this product generates toxic gases such as hydrogen chloride, hot titanium dioxide and hot aluminum oxides. This material dissolved into water with generation of a large amount of heat. Decompose products from this material are irritant to the respiratory and cause breathing difficulty and pulmonary edema. Symptoms may be delayed several hours or longer depending upon the extent of the exposure.
Accidental release measures
Evacuate non-essential personnel. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe dust and/or fume. Supress gases/vapours with a water spray jet. Collect contaminated water seperately. This must not be discharged into drains. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precaution:
Dike water for later dispoal. Do not allow contaminated water to enter waterways.
Methods for cleaning up.
Shut off source of spill. Sweep up spilled material being careful not to create dust. Place sweepings in a chemcal waste container for disposal. Cover conatminated area with a slurry of common household powdered laundry detergent and water. Using a siff brush, work the slurry into cracks and crevices. Allow to stand for 2-3 minutes then flush with water. Repeat if necessary.
Handling and storage
Use approved equipment for transport of containers to avoid puncturing or rupturing containers. Do not use air pressure to empty containers.
Protective equipment should be worn when handling this material to avoid eye and skin contact and inhalation of powder.
Emptied container may retain product residues. Follow all warnings and precautions even after container is emptied.
Storage: Containers should be stored in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from flammable or incompatible materials. Store awary from food stuffs and/or animal feed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls:
Transported isolated intermediate, to be used only under strictly controlled conditions as specified in Article 18 of Regulation 1907/2006/EC(REACH).
(a) the substance is rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle including manufacture, purification, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage;
(b) procedural and control technologies shall be used that minimise emission and any resulting exposure;
(c) only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance;
(d) in case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as purging and washing are applied before the system is opened and entered;
(e) in case of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are used to minimise emissions and the resulting exposure during purification or cleaning and maintenance procedure;
(f) substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.
Appropriate engineering controls: Local exhaust ventilation, enclosed system designe, continuous monitaring devices, process isolation and remote control are traditional exposure controle techniques which may be used to effectively minimized employee exposure.
Safety showers, with quick opening valves which stay open, and eye wash fountains, or other means of washing the eyes with a gentle flow of cool to tepid tap water, should be readily available in all areaa where this material is handled or stored. Water should be supplied through insulated and heat-traced lines to prevent freeze-ups in cold water.
Personal protective equipment
Eyes protection: Goggle and a full face shield.
Hand protection: Impervious gloves: eg. Nitrile rubber, Butyl rubber Thickness: >0.35mm, Breakthough time >480 min.
Skin protection: Long sleeved clothing and boots if necessary.
Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Recommened filter type P2, P3.
Stability and reactivity
This material is stable at ambient temperature and pressures when handled and stored under an inert atmosphere, e.g. dry nitrogen.
Reactivity
In contact with air and/or water (moisture), this material liberates toxic gas, hydrogen chloride and hot fumes, titanium dioxide and aluminum oxides.
Disposal considerations
Contaminated packing: Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
