Additional information

The substance has no chemical groups that are associated with explosive properties. Therefore, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, there is no need to conduct the explosive properties study. However, four explosion hazard results are available for the dust sample of the substance. The dust samples of the substance were determined to have Product Specific Constant (Kst) values in the range 105 - 230 mbar/s in accordance with ASTM E1226 and DIN 14034 -1 test methods. The result places the dust sample into Stauber Explosion Class of Kst 1 or Kst 2 depending on the composition and source and physicochemical properties of the substance such as particle size, shape and moisture content.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There is no evidence to suggest that the substance should be classified for this endpoint.
