Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Due to the extreme low water solubility which is in good agreement with the high calculated log Kow of 14.11 the substance will not be bioavailable for bioaccumulation. Due to the strong sorption to soil and related very low expected pore water concentrations, bioaccumulation in terrestrial and benthic organisms is expected to be low.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

C36-alkylenediamine has an extremely low water solubility. Log Kow measurement turned out to be not an option. The log Kow was therefore calculated. Besides to the low water solubility C36-alkylenediamine demonstrate with a mean kd of 43664 L/kg a strong sorption to soil. Besides to the feacibility of an OECD 305 study, the substance will not be present in the aquatic compartment but will strongly sorb in the terrestrial and/or benthic compartment.
