The substance was determined to decompose, without any evidence of melting, from approximately 166 °C (439 K). Decomposition was observed in both air and nitrogen atmospheres.

Executive summary:

The melting temperature of the substance was determined under GLP in a study conducted according to OECD TG 102, by differential scanning calorimetry. Aliquots of about 5 to 6 mg of the test substance were placed in aluminium crucibles with manually pierced lids. Two determinations were made in an air atmosphere and two determinations in a nitrogen atmosphere under atmospheric pressure. On thermal analysis, no evidence of a phase transition (melting) was observed in any determination. All thermogram profiles showed only a single exothermic thermal event, attributed to decomposition of the test substance, which started from approximately 166 °C.
