Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
other: Not defined
Key result
Water solubility:
> 22 000 mg/L
Conc. based on:
not specified
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Concentration based on, loading of aqueous phase and pH not defined

Since the aqueous solution contained several compounds, it was not possible to determine the exact water solubility in a definitive test. In a solution at 102 g/L undissolved material was detected. At 22 g/L no undissolved material was observed. Therefore, the water solubility was estimated to be > 22 g/L.

Conclusions:
Based on visual observation, the water solubility was estimated to be > 22 g/L.
Executive summary:

The study was conducted under GLP and according to EU Method A.6. Since the aqueous solution contained several compounds, it was not possible to determine the exact water solubility in a definitive test. In a solution at 102 g/L undissolved material was detected. At 22 g/L no undissolved material was observed. Therefore, the water solubility was estimated to be > 22 g/L.

Description of key information

Key study: EU Method A.6 (GLP study): Based on visual observation, the water solubility was estimated to be > 22 g/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
22 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
