Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The flash point of 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl acrylate was determined to be 109 ± 2°C at 1013 hPa using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 109 ± 2°C at 1013 hPa (EU Method A.9)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
109 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point of 109 ± 2°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with EU Method A.9 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

A flash point of 109 ± 2°C at 1013 hPa and a measured boiling range of 174-241°C at 1013 hPa indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
