Executive summary:

In a 3-h toxicity study activated sludge from a domestic water treatment plant was exposed toChloranil (2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-1,4-benzoquinone)in accordance with EU Method C.11 and OECD Guideline 209. The study was not performed in compliance with GLP. Reliability grade 2 was assigned. Tested concentrations and existence of controls were not indicated. The 3h-EC20 was 135 mg/L. The 3h-EC50 was 455.5 mg/L.
