Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The half-life of the test substance under environmental conditions (25°C) was estimated to be >1 year at pH 4 and <1 d at pH 7 and 9.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
24 h
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A study was conducted to determine hydrolysis as a function of pH for the test substance according to OECD Guideline 111 and EU Method C.7, in compliance with GLP.

The study comprised of the pre-tests at 50°C with buffers at pH 4, 7 and 9. The decomposition at pH 4 was below 10% after 5 d at 50°C. Thus the test substance was considered hydrolytically stable at pH 4. According to the guideline a half-life period of more than one year under environmental conditions (25°C) was estimated and no additional testing was required. The decomposition at pH 7 and pH 9 was higher than 50% after 2.4 h at 50°C. Thus the test substance was considered hydrolytically unstable at pH 7 and pH 9. According to the guideline a half-life period of lower than 1 d under environmental conditions (25°C) was estimated and no additional testing was required.

Recoveries of the 'Recheck samples' ranged between 96.9% and 102.7%, indicating a good accuracy of the analytical method.

Under the test conditions, the half-life of the test substance under environmental conditions (25°C) was estimated to be >1 year at pH 4 and <1 d at pH 7 and 9.
