Additional information

Since no test data on the acute aquatic toxicity of the reaction mass of 2-methylbutyl acetate (CAS 624-41-9, ca. 33%) and pentyl acetate (CAS 628-63-7, ca. 66%) containing isopentyl acetate (< 2%) as impurity are available a conclusion by analogy approach to a highly similar mixture of the two major components (primary amyl acetate) has been applied. This GLP study was performed according OECD guideline 202. The result of showed an EC50 of 40.9 mg/L for Daphnia magna after 48 hours of exposure [Dow 2003].
