Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A 7 -day static-renewal Ceriodaphnia dubia chronic test to determine the toxicity of test substance (an aqueous solution of carbohydrazide) was performed. The exposure was performed to determine the test substances lowest and no observable effect concentrations (LOEC and NOEC) based on both Ceriodaphnia survival and reproduction. A point-estimation technique was also used to calculate an inhibition concentration based on the combined effects of survival and reproduction. The data was analysed to estimate the test substance concentration that would result in 25% inhibition (IC25).

The tested concentrations (plus control) in the definitive test were 4.1, 8.1, 16.25, 32.5 and 65.0 mg/l (whole product).

The 7-day NOEC and LOEC (for whole product) based on survival was 32.5 mg/l and 65.0 mg/l, respectively. Survival of 100% was observed for the control, 4.1 mg/l, 8.1 mg/l and 16.25 mg/l concentrations. Survival was 80% for the 32.5 mg/L concentration and 20% for the 65.0 mg/l concentration.

The 7-day NOEC and LOEC for survival based on active ingredient were 3.93 mg ai/l and 7.87 mg ai/l respectively.

The 7-day NOEC (for whole product) based in reproduction was 8.1 mg/l and the NOEC (for whole product) was 16.25 mg/l.

The 7-day NOEC and LOEC for reproduction based on active ingredient were 0.98 mg ai/l and 1.97 mg ai/l, respectively.

The IC25 was estimated to be 17.3 mg/l (whole product).

Mean reproduction and survival in the control was acceptable.

All water chemistry values were within acceptable ranges.
