The test material lost mass due to sublimination below its melting temperature. Chemical transformation nor oxidation of the test material were observed.

Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the test, neither decomposition, oxidation nor chemical transformation of the test material was observed. The test material is considered to be thermatically stable.
Executive summary:

In a GLP compliant thermal stability study conducted in accordance with standardised guideline OECD 113, the thermal stability was determined using Differential Scanning Calorimetry and Thermogravimetric Analysis. Under the conditions of the test, no decomposition, oxidation or chemical transformation of the test material was observed and the test material is considered to be thermatically stable.

Description of key information

Key study:- Malinski (1999) 'Dichlobenil - Boiling Point, Thermal Stability and Dissociation Constant' conducted in line with GLP and standardised guidelines OECD 113. No decomposition, oxidation or chemical transformation was observed and the test material is considered to be thermatically stable.

Additional information

A GLP compliant thermal stability study was performed in accordance with a standardised guideline and with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the presented data. The study was performed to a good standard and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the principle for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with the criteria for classification as defined in Annex I, Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, the substance does not require classification with respect to stability.
