First-aid measures

No special first aid measures required:

Inhalation of dust: Possible effects are cough and sneezing. Affected person to be taken to fresh air.

Eye contact: Possible discomfort is due to foreign substance (particles effect). Rinse the eyes with plenty of water.

Skin contact: Rinse with water.

Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and drink plenty of water

Fire-fighting measures

Not combustible. Not relevant

Accidental release measures

No special protection required beyond normal standard safety and good industrial hygiene practice.

Avoid dust formation.

If dust occurs, it is recommended by the producer to use a dust mask with P2 filter and safety glasses with side-shield.

Exposure controls / personal protection

For nanostructured dust, the Occupational Exposure Limits (OEL) are defined by the German TRGS 900 or the TRGS 527. The TRGS 527 is distinguishing between non- and soluble substances, the limit for solubility is 100 mg/L based on the OECD 105 method (enhanced).

For substances with a solubility below 100 mg/L: Type of limit AGW (DE) is 0.5 mg/m3 (respirable) of generic dust (TRGS 527).

For substances with a solubility above 100 mg/L: Type of limit AGW (DE) is 10 mg/m3 (inhalable), 1.25 mg/m3 (respirable) of generic dust (TRGS 900).
