Description of key information

NOEC (28d, carbon transformation) = 31.6 mg / kg soil dwt
NOEC(28d, nitrogen transformation) >= 1000 mg / kg soil dwt

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

C-and N-transformation tests (OECD 217 and OECD 216):

The toxicity of Benzenepropanoic acid, 3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxy-,C7-9-branched alkyl esters towards soil microorganisms was tested in C- and N-transformation tests according to OECD guidelines 217 and 216 (ECT 2006).

The EC50 of Benzenepropanoic acid, 3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxy-,C7-9-branched alkyl esters for soil microbial carbon transformation was 497 mg kg-1 soil (dry weight) and the NOEC was 31.6 mg kg-1 soil (dry weight). No dose-response relationship was observed for the nitrogen transformation; the NOEC was >1000.0 mg kg-1 soil (dry weight).
