Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Classification according to CLP

Hexamethylene diisocyanate, trimers, reaction products with 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (CAS 162492-01-5) is not rapidly degradable and has a log Pow > 4.0. No short-term toxicity to aquatic organisms of all three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae) nor long-term toxicity to aquatic algae was observed up to the limit of water solubility of the substance (< 0.54 mg/L, 20 °C, OECD 105). Based on the available data compiled above, Hexamethylene diisocyanate, trimers, reaction products with 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (CAS 162492-01-5) is classified and labelled as chronic 4 (´safety net´ classification) for environmental hazards, according to the consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (dated: 01.01.2017) and further amendments (ATPs).
