Description of key information
For transported isolated intermediates according to Reach, Annex XVIII, this endpoint is not a data requirement. However, data is available for this endpoint and is thus reported under the guidance of "all available data".
A bioaccumulation factor (BCF) was determined in an experimental study on Guppies (poecilia reticulata) which were exposed to 1,2-dichloro-3-nitrobenzene for 3 days under semi-static conditions in freshwater. The following experimental values were obtained:
BCF: 1027 +/-95 (N=7); whole body w.w.
log BCF: 3.01 +/- 0.04; whole body w.w.
BCF: 82 +/- 20; total lipid content
Additional information
Additional studies on Cyprinus carpio in a continouus flow setup yielded a BCF of 145 (mean vaue) after being exposed to
1,2-dichloro-3-nitrobenzene for 3 days in freshwater.
