Conclusion on classification

The test substance does not need to be classified based on the results of the aquatic toxicity data with the criteria set in Directive 67/548/EC and Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. Although the acute studies of alga and daphnia determined EC50 values, EC50: 16.9 mg/l and EC50: 8.1 mg/l, respectively, these values are much higher than the water solubility of the test substance (< 2 mg/l, Study No. 2011/0098/02, CURRENTA GmbH & Co. OHG, 2011). These results were reached using a solubilizer for the test substance in both studies. Because there was no effect on aquatic toxicity determined at the limit of water solubility, the substance does not need to be classified.
