Description of key information
The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods UN-N.1 and VDI 2263 (Blatt 1). Based on the burning behaviour =1(no ignition) a classification as flammable solid can be ruled out. Therefore Diazokomponente Rot B is classified as not flammable solid.
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study on flammability in contact with water does not need to be conducted as the substance does not emit flammable gases in contact with water. Based on knowledge of scientific experts, the mixture does not contain metals or metalloids.
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study on pyrophoric properties does not need to be conducted, as the substance (Diazokomponente Rot B) has no pyrophoric properties. Based on knowledge of scientific experts, experience in production or handling shows that the substance does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures (i.e. the substance is known to be stable at room temperature for prologned periods of time).
