(E)-1-(2-chloro-1,3-thiazol-5-ylmethyl)-3-methyl-2-nitroguanidine is photolytically degraded in air with a half-life of 1.5 h.

The endpoint “phototransformation in air” is not a data requirement for the registered substance. However, for the sake of completeness this endpoint is covered by a short summary of the available data.
In the available study the chemical lifetime of (E)-1-(2-chloro-1,3-thiazol-5-ylmethyl)-3-methyl-2-nitroguanidine in the air was assessed based on the calculation according to Atkinson by AOPWIN (version 1.87). This resulted in a DT50 of 1.5 hours.
