Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases))
Version / remarks:
The experimental procedure was based on ASTM-E 659-15 and conformed to the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 Method A15.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Sponsor batch: E01133-065
Purity: 100 %
Arrival date: 6 March 2017
Re-test date: 31 July 2019
Storage conditions: Refrigerated (2 to 8°C) under nitrogen. The test substance was supplied in a translucent HDPE container and has been stored in this container. The test substance was stored in a fridge, in the dark when not in use.
Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
394 °C
Atm. press.:
>= 99.9 - <= 100.2 kPa

The auto-ignition temperature was 394 ± 7°C, with a 500 µL sample volume. The testing was carried out over two days, the atmospheric pressure at the time of testing was 99.9 kPa on first day and 100.2 kPa on second day. The full results are shown in the following table:
