Results and discussion

Effect concentrations
Duration:
48 h
Dose descriptor:
EC50
Effect conc.:
> 100 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
mobility
Details on results:
In the pre-test at 100 mg/L 3 daphnids were immobilized at 24 h and 4 at 48 h. No immobilization at any of the other concentrations.
Based on these results the main study was performed as a full test.
As the measured concentrations were > 80% of nominal, the results are based on nominal concentrations
Results with reference substance (positive control):
The 48h-EC50 for potassium dichromate was 0.58 mg/L
Reported statistics and error estimates:
NA

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The 48-h EC50 in daphnia is > 100 mg/L
Executive summary:

Daphnia were exposed to 0, 10, 18, 32, 56 and 100 mg/L test substance during 48 hours. No immobilization was found. The analyses for accuracy of preparations showed that the average measured concentrations were > 80% of nominal. Therefore the results are based on nominal concentrations. The EC50 is > 100 mg/L
