Description of key information

Long term toxicity towards aquatic invertebrates was assessed in a reliable 21-day study on Daphnia magna reproduction according to OECD 211 and compliant to GLP (semistatic design, analytical verification of test item concentration).

Additional information

A reliable study on chronic toxicity of cyclohexanone oxime to Daphnia magna is available. The study was conducted according to OECD 211 and compliant to GLP (RL 1). The study design was semi-static (renewal rate: three times per week) with analytical verification of test item concentration (measurement frequency: 0, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 14th, 17th day; time weighted mean measured values were 98.4 to 100% of nominal). 10 animals were used per treatment and control group (distributed over 10 replicates). 5 concentrations between 4.76 mg/L and 50.0 mg/L were tested. The determined (no)effect concentrations are:

EC50 (21 d; semistatic; reproduction) = 26.7 mg/L (nominal; analytically verified), 95% CI: 25.1 mg/L - 28.5 mg/L

NOEC (21 d; semistatic; reproduction) = 4.76 mg/L (nominal; analytically verified)
