Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
-62.7 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Instead of the term „melting point" the term „transition point" is used, as the energy of the endothermic effects was untypically low (5 to 10 J/g) for a melting point.

Melting (Transition) Point / Range (DSC)

Two DSC measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermic effect in the temperature range -70 °C to 20 °C with an onset temperature of around 62 °C while the test item was heated up. The onset temperature is derived from the intersection of the tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermic peak with the baseline.

Ident-No.Onset / °CTemperature range / °CCrucible
30458-62.48-70 to -20Aluminium with a hole
30481-62.99-70 to -45Aluminium with a hole

The test item has a mean transition point [*] of -62.7 °C.
