Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
July 31, 2003
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Remarks:
OECD GLP
Type of method:
other: Screening test based on OECD 105
Key result
Water solubility:
> 1 561 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Loading of aqueous phase:
1 561 g/L
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
The pHs of deionised water and a 10.8 mg/mL solution of test material in deionised water were 7.6 and 7.0 respectively.
All mixtures became clear solutions. Based on these results it was concluded that the solubility of the test material in water was greater than 1561 g/L at 25 °C.
Conclusions:
Under the conditions of this study, the water solubility of the test material was determined to be 1561 g/L at 25 °C.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 105, under GLP conditions.

In a screening test, the test material was mixed with deionized water at various concentrations. All mixtures became clear solutions.

Under the conditions of this study, the water solubility of the test material was determined to be 1561 g/L at 25 °C.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the water solubility of the test material was determined to be 1561 g/L at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1 561 g/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 105, under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
