Six replicate shock tests on the test material did not result in an explosive event or any other visually apparent physical change in the test material, as seen from the photographs of test material before and after one of the tests.
Therefore, the test material did not exhibit explosive properties when subjected to mechanical shock.

Executive summary:

The explosive properties of the test material were investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines EU Method A.14 (Explosive properties). 

A sample of test material (approx. 10 mg) was placed between 2 vertical steel rods encased within a steel pipe. The test material was photographed before it was capped with the second rod. A mass of 11.761 kg was dropped on the top capped rod from a height of 0.4 m. The test material was photographed. Observations were recorded regarding the appearance of the test material before and after the test.

Six replicate shock tests on the Test Substance did not result in an explosive event or any other visually apparent physical change in the Test Substance. Therefore, the test material did not exhibit explosive properties when subjected to mechanical shock.
