Conclusions:
The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of octadecanoic acid, reaction products with acetic acid and tetraethylenepentamine was calculated according to the method described in the OECD Guideline 107 (1995) from individual solubilities in water and noctanol, since the substance is a surface-active material (see also ECHA Guidance Ch. R.7.a; ECHA 2017).
For this purpose the measured solubility in water and solubility in n-octanol were used.
The n-octanol/water partition coefficient of octadecanoic acid, reaction products with acetic acid and tetraethylenepentamine was determined to be:
