Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The adsorption coefficients (log Koc) of each constituent (U, V, W and X) were determined to be 0.7, 1.0, 1.8 and 2.0 respectively. The weighted average log Koc, considering the contents of the four constituents, is 1.2, corresponding to a Koc of 15.85.

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the adsorption coefficient (log Koc) of the test substance according to EU method C.19 and OECD guideline 121, in compliance with GLP.

Test was conducted using the HPLC method. The dead time was determined by using a "dead time marker". For calibration the retention times of a series of substances with known adsorption coefficients were measured and a calibration graph was established. The adsorption coefficient of the test substance was derived from its retention time and the calibration graph. The calibration substances were injected in two series, one before and one after the injection of the test substance.

The test substance is composed of four main components and therefore the adsorption coefficient of each component was tested and calculated separately. The retention time for components U, V, W and X were 7.41-7.74, 8.29-8.59, 12.26-13.04 and 14.04-14.79, respectively. The log Koc for components U, V, W and X were 0.7, 1.0, 1.8 and 2.0 respectively.

Under the test conditions, the adsorption coefficient (log Koc) of the test substance was determined to be between 0.7 and 2.0.

The weighted average log Koc, considering the contents of the four constituents, is 1.2, corresponding to a Koc of 15.85.
