Description of key information

A study was performed to determine explosive properties of the test substance according to EU method A.14 in compliance with GLP. The test substance did not show explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

A screening method was performed using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) which demonstrated the heat of decomposition was above 500J/g and therefore a subsequent full test was required. The full test revealed that no explosive properties could be observed in the friction or shock tests. The thermal sensitivity test also indicated that no explosion occurred.

Justification for classification or non-classification

None of the classification criteria have been fulfilled. The substance can be classified as non explosive.
