Description of key information

Explosive properties are not anticipated, based on chemical structureof both components.
The acceptance procedure for Class 1 explosives shall not apply, no further testing is required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACh Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. According to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria and screening procedure (as listed in appendix 6 to the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (5th revised edition, 2009) or in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, v4.0, July 2015, §R.7.1.11), NO REACTIVE GROUP was identified in the chemical structures of the components.

However, the P-O bond is identified for potential concern associated with self-reactive properties, so inconclusive with regard to classification in this hazard class; further testing is needed.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The chemical structure does not meet the screening procedure criteria, therefore the substance shall not be classified as explosive (CLP Annex I § 2.1.4.3.).
