Assessment of the biodegradation of DHX2 was done according OECD 306 and under GLP. Biodegradability in marine water was analysed by measuring the oxygen consumption (closed bottles) revealing a biodegradation of 33% after 28 days and 73% after 63 days. The criteria for readily biodegradability were not met.


Further biotic degradation testing is not proposed as the chemical safety assessment (not a PBT/vPvB substance) indicates no need to further investigate the degradation of the substance.
