Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

pKa calculations (Perrin calculation method):
pKa values for the cation : 15.1 (pKa acid), and 9.4 and -3.8 (pKa basic).
pKa values for the anion : 3.6, 4.0, 4.7 and 5.1 (pKa acid), and 8.5, -0.3 and -0.9 (pKa basic).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is an aqueous solution of an organic salt. The salt is completely dissociated. As the dissociation of the salt is not an equilibrium the dissociation constant cannot be determined by an experimental method such as the titration method or the spectrophotometric method.
