Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Several studies available, most show that the substance is not readily biodegradeable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Several studies are available, most show that the substance is not readily biodegradeable in water under the given test circumstances under approved guidelines. However at least 2 studies suggest that when the test included slugde accustomed to the substance, biodegradation is possible.

The substance is not readily biodegradable under the conditions of guideline studies and according to the definition in the REACH legislation. However, in an adapted bacterial community, e.g. from waste treatment facilities used to process the substance, significant biodegradation occurs.
