Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The LC50 value of the test substance on zebra fish according to OECD 203 was found to be greater than 100 mg/L (nominal concentration, CIBA-GEIGY 1988a). This result is supported by a 48h-MITI study with orange-red killifish (LC50 > 100 mg/L nominal, MITI 1992). Additional, acute fish data using Oryzias latipes from the existing chemicals survey conducted by the Japanese Government are available (Ministry of the Environment, Japan). Although, only an abtract with limited information is available, the results support the overall conclusion. In a semi-static test after 96 h no acute toxic effects could be observed up to the limit of solubility. Therefore, the test item is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.
