Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Additional information

Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the test substance. The L(E)C50 values for fish, algae and activated sludge were found to be greater than 100 mg/L (nominal).

Although the EC50 (24h) on daphnids was determined to be 52 mg/L, this value will not be used for a classification since it clearly exceeded the range of water solubility (< 0.73 µg/L) of the test substance due to the use of emulsifier. Furthermore, the reported EC0 value of 10 mg/L indicated that there were no toxic effects in the range of the low water solubility of the test item.

Thus, the compound is considered with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms in the range of water solubility.

However, due to responsible care the value was used for the calculation of the PNECaqua as a worst case consideration.
